Lady Empire is a fresh band out of Richmond, VA with roots in folk, alternative and americana. The band is comprised of local Richmond musicians with eclectic resumes. Isaac Friend is the lead singer/songwriter, yet has played drums for various bands over the years, including the Southern Belles and Evan Barlow. Joe Vanderhoff plays lead guitar, hailing from such bands as Crossing the Event Horizon and Mind's I. Their drummer, Ryan Tinsley, is known most notably for his band Conditions. Big Mama Shakes' Brady Heck plays bass guitar as well as electric guitar. They recently recorded their first demo at Audio Verite in Richmond.
