From his origins banging on tables to make a beat while he freestyle for friends and family, to becoming a classically trained violinist, Jelani has found his voice and developed a lifelong passion for music. This northern California boy grew up as a member of an active ministry eventually finding his two greatest influences with his father being one of them. His father introduced him to the world of music and pushed Jelani to expand past his abilities of what he already knows. The artist, Andre 3000, inspired Jelani with his brilliant musicianship and lyrics. Jelani’s sound today has been described by many as artists similar to Chance the Rapper, Smino, and Mick Jenkins.
