A mid-west born singer-songwriter making his official debut in the Reno/Tahoe area. Inspired by Folk/Americana, Derrick writes meaningful songs from his personal journey and the collective human experience highlighting everything from joy and nostalgia, to everyday struggles we can all connect to in one way or another.
Derrick's early days were spent finding his voice at local coffee shops and dives in Goshen, IN. In 2015 he moved out west and has since settled down into a vibrant music community in the Reno/Tahoe area and has grown into the matured musician and performer you hear today.
Finally stepping into his own and having a catalogue of originals ready to share with the world, Derrick has begun the recording process on his official debut album "Golden" which is set to release in the fall of 2026 with Plaid Dog Recording in Boston, MA.
