Rainforest Connection (RFCx), a nonprofit tech organization, develops real-time acoustic monitoring devices and technology to listen to the rainforest remotely and transform these audio streams into a profound and automatic understanding of the forest soundscape using AI and machine learning. We're able to monitor and alert rangers on the ground of illegal activities as well as extract important information about the biodiversity of ecosystems on a large scale. We empower our partners with the ability to stop illegal logging in real-time, as well as protect biodiversity. To realize this mission, we harness the power of acoustics in creating the technology and human connections that accelerate the protection, preservation and understanding of ecosystems across the planet. We envision a future where anyone can connect with and conserve the natural world.
