Troon Old Parish Church is a Church of Scotland congregation in Troon, Ayrshire, in the west of Scotland.
Early in the coronavirus lockdown, several members of the church choir agreed to try forming a virtual choir to support the congregation's fledgling online worship services. Our first recording went live on Easter Sunday 2020, and for over a year we produced new recordings for online worship approximately every two weeks.
As the initial lockdown eased, but restrictions on public singing did not, our virtual choir videos also became an important element of the limited in-person worship services we were able to hold.
From September 2020 we were joined virtually by choir members from Portland Parish Church, one of our sister congregations in Troon. In June 2021 we were able to do our first in-person recordings, and from summer 2022 we have been singing as one united choir.
We hope you are inspired and uplifted by our musical offerings.
Stay safe, stay well, God bless.
