Sazz Leonore ( 27 September 1989) is one of the new generation of jazz singers in the Netherlands. She has a strong preference for the jazzy sound. Although her parents are true jazz lovers but no professional musicians, Sazz emerges early as a singer in the making. At the age of ten she decides to take musical matters into her own hands and starts taking singing lessons. From that moment on, it is obvious: Sazz Leonore is here to sing! Thanks to her debut album, Reckless Smile, Sazz has been awarded the title of “Soul & Jazz Talent” by NPO Radio 6. In their report, the jury wrote: “On this first single her sultry voice combines perfectly with the jazzy sound of her band. Young singer Sazz embodies old jazz celebrities like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, and we find it encouraging that a new generation of singers takes over the musical baton.” www.sazzleonore.com
