Toscana Strings launched their Stories Set To Music in 2018 with the primary aim to deliver good quality live music in primary schools in a fun and interactive way. In 2019 they were awarded Best Workshop Provider by Primary Music Magazine. Through the Stories Set To Music concerts, Toscana Strings have performed to over 40,000 children.
Toscana Strings joined forces with Laura Tye in 2021, former soloist with Birmingham Royal ballet. This collaboration has gone from strength to strength and now all performances delivered in schools and public venues are with string quintet and dance.
In September 2022 Toscana Strings premiered their production of Julia Donaldson's Monkey Puzzle at Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
Each concert introduces the string family and the concept of dance, and the audiences are taught mimes and dance moves so they can join in during the concerts. Each story lasts approximately 40 minutes
