Scarlet Thread -- Progressive Rock From Finland
Scarlet Thread was born in around 1995, when Jani Timoniemi decided to use it as a name to release demo tapes. It has been a long way since then, but today, Scarlet Thread has finally started to sound like he always wanted to.
The turning point was, when he teamed up with his life-long friend, Sami Hiltunen in 2003. Together, the pair started to put up a line-up, that eventually evolved to the one that exists today.
Mixing styles of music has always been the fundamental idea of progressive music, and Scarlet Thread does just that, taking the basics of rock music, and adding element of blues, jazz and folk to it.
Scarlet Thread's idea is not to make comprehensive that most people never understand, but rather make music, that brings up emotions. In fact, it is emotions that creates every single song the band ever composes.
