A true baby boomer, out seeking as soon as I was 18. Straight to New York City, then up to Tim Leary's Millbrook, for a very full time. Next came San Francisco for a year, then near Albion for 11 years, living without electricity, growing our own food, milking goats and making cheese, giving birth to two children, cutting down trees and bucking them up and teaching myself how to rebuild my VW's van's engine. That knowledge led to a career at Chevron Research Center, later training in algebra and chemistry to move to database and GC work. While there, I discovered that there were cats in the refinery. That lead to some years of serious cat trapping and rescue that was very rewarding. I trapped 90 cats, found homes for 50, making sure they were all fixed, the rest, which were very feral, were fixed, given a rabies shot and returned to the refinery and fed daily. Archie Sunshine Toes, Rocky and Gilda Marie were the only ones I kept.
