Act One is the Psytrance project of multi-instrumentalist and producer Jack Allsopp. Coming from the UK, he took his musical upbringing (learning piano and trombone from an early age) and fused it with the UK electronic music he surrounded himself with. Teaching himself to produce drum and bass he had his first releases and gigs before finding Psytrance at the age of 17. He took the production knowledge he had gained and used it to create a unique style of Psytrance, taking influence from all spectrums of music and crafting original sound design methods. After his debut album on Digital Shamans, he signed with the Bom Shanka crew and his sets became a breath of fresh air in the Psytrance scene with his now legendary sound design.
