This channel was created as two-way communication between Pirate's Cove Recording & musical artist that would like answers to the many questions that most have about the business and processes. I have been recording since the mid-'70s. In 1986 I opened my first recording studio in Los Angeles. Since then I have watched some people I have worked with, climb to superstardom & others that could have, fail. The difference between them has always been their approach. Draw out a roadmap. You'll have a much better chance of getting there but if you randomly go out & wonder for exposure, you will fail. I have written quite a few articles on various subjects concerning the recording and music business. The basic idea in all of them is that music IS a business and needs to be thought as one at all times other than when you are writing songs.
