Partha Halder, one of the most promising young sitar players of the Indore Beenkar Gharana was born in a musical family. He started on his musical journey at a tender age under the tutelage of his father, Sri Dilip Halder, Hindustani Classical Musician of Kirana Gharana. His father was his first Guru. After a few years when he was Sixteen , he was under the guidance of Smt Anjali Mukherjee of Bishnupur Gharana and Sri Kanai Sarkar of Bishnupur Gharana. After that, he went to Kolkata for his higher music Education from the eminent sitarist, Pandit Harashankar Bhattacharya of Indore Gharana. He takes taleem regularly from his guru 🙏.
