Concert pianist and NYU Steinhardt faculty member Kyle P. Walker is recognized for performances that combine artistic excellence, cultural storytelling, and a commitment to expanding the reach of classical music.
Walker has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, The Apollo Theater, Adelaide Town Hall, and other venues throughout the United States and abroad. In 2023, he was featured as one of the first classical pianists presented at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
A member of the Harlem Chamber Players, his work explores overlooked voices, cross-cultural narratives, and the evolving role of classical music today through performance, collaboration, recording projects, and educational initiatives.
Walker is also the creator of Piano Lab with Kyle, a YouTube channel for serious adult pianists exploring practice, artistry, and musical growth.
