Hailing from the depths of Midwest Hell, and preaching the word of the Prophet Misery comes Born Under Burden. The band, much like its music has grown in its scope and vision, developed in its complexity, and has become layered with the changes, odd times, and explosiveness that can only be honed in the crucible of time.
Now, in 2011 Born Under Burden proudly celebrates the release of their new album: The Battlehymn of the Beaten Down. The project has proven to be an ambitious one, and homegrown from the very start. From the music to the artwork and the final production the album comes entirely from us, from our heart and soul, and from where we live. It is a 6 part dissertation on concepts ranging from individualism, objectivism, sorrow, misery, loss, hopelessness, and ultimately survival, with a little extra mixed in with the addition of the album's bonus track 'Birds Ate My Face'.
