This is a channel about live music performances by Erik Alalooga. Erik Alalooga is a hopeless machine-addict. No matter what he starts to do or whatever he touches, the result is always a machine. Performing with self-made-low-tech-sound-machines can be seen as anti-progress manifesto. It makes no attempt to participate in technological race. It glorifies diletantism. His machinery has meaning only in the context of particular artpiece, making no sense elsewhere. During last 10 years author has created various instruments using simple mechanical principles and both electric motors and own body to move them. Artificial sounds are captured by contact microphones and pick-ups, developed electronically with Zoom Multistomp effects and amplified with PA. Neither computers nor recordings are used. Musical symptoms can be described as psychedelic noise, pseudoshamanism and neo-industrial.
