Rupert Egerton-Smith is a British concert pianist, film composer and Steinway Artist.
Described as a “pianist and musician of the highest calibre” (New York Concert Review), his path to becoming a concert pianist defies convention. He was previously a strategy consultant before pursuing his musical passions as performer and composer.
He has given concerts in many major venues internationally including Paris’ Salle Gaveau, the Berlin Philharmonie, London’s Cadogan Hall and New York's Carnegie Hall. John Lubbock OBE appointed him Artist-in-Residence at the Orchestra of St John’s in 2022. In March 2025 Steinway & Sons added him to their prestigious roster of Steinway Artists. He composes original music for film and other visual media and has produced soundtracks for Disney, the BBC, Channel 4 as well as international music agencies. In 2025 he was signed to record label Quartz.
