Bullying happens at school, church, workplaces, even at home. This is not a secluded event, it happens in every community. Bullying is when someone abuses power and uses it to harras someone more vulnerable over a period of time. Bullying is physical and/or emotional and is done to both young men and women. This also still happens with some adults but it can be harder to cope with in adolescence. It takes a community, a school or a church to overcome problems with bullies and the issues that follow. Suicide is one of the consequences of someone who is being bullied. The topic tends to be taboo and because of the stigma surrounding it, people avoid the topic. OCPC (Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church) Youth will tackle bullying, teen depression, self-image, cyberbullying and suicide. Our prayers are with everyone who is struggling. You are precious in God's sight. It may feel hopeless right now, but it gets better. fb.me/ocpcyouthoutreachministry
