On March 19, 1989 Suffolk, VA became the birthplace of the hip-hop artist known as "Corrao" meaning "Grace of God". Corrao spent most of his younger years growing up in Virginia: Suffolk, Newport News and Hampton. Corrao was mostly raised by his mother who worked as much as she needed to take care of him and his younger brothers.
