Hi, my name is Jelske Hoogervorst. I am a jazz saxophonist and improvisation coach based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I have over 25 years of stage experience as a professional saxophonist in jazz, pop, funk, latin and improv. With my duo interplay I like to experiment with freedom in limitation and search the boundaries of our imagination. With my band Sugar I recorded an ode to souljazz. With my band Liquid Lefty I experimented with the fusion of jazz, dance and funk and won the composition prize at the Dutch Jazz Competition at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
