World Ocean Day for Schools is a celebratory event for educators, parents and students on June 8th. This year’s theme: ‘Our Blue’ will help students understand and (and feel) their connection to the ocean through their nearest blue space — whether that’s a beach, river, canal, stream or lake. Attendees can follow along with a curated day of live lessons or choose from a mix of pre-recorded video and offline session plans to create a bespoke schedule. All resources are accessible via our website and free. The best bit? World Ocean Day for School activities feature some of the world’s most exciting and engaging ocean advocates, from marine scientists to storytellers, artists to athletes.
On our YouTube channel you'll find the best resources to celebrate the role the ocean plays in all our lives, to learn more about our blue planet and to kickstart a fun conversation between children, parents, teachers and communities about our relationship with the ocean.
