RUNAE is a Danish singer-songwriter. She writes about duality, the hidden, and the dark sides of human nature. The name RUNAE comes from the Nordic name, Runa, which means "to flow" and "secret love". Runae sees this as a double meaning- the flow of nature and the secrets and hidden stories we all carry within- two elements that affect people from the outside and inside. She released her first single in February 2020, and ever since she has spent the time in her home studio writing songs. She followed up with the EP Little Moon during the fall 2020 and the singles You're My Wild Storm and Pirate’s Blind Date in 2021. In 2022 she released a “special version” demo collection just before giving birth to her son. Runae released two singles about involuntary childlessness based on her own experiences, My Body Is a Clock in 2023, and The Wall of Time in 2024. A little change of mood came with "You're not a keeper" in 2025 about an ex-boyfriend. "Teenage Dreams" is coming up soon!
