SCRAPING BI are in league with Kartikeya, the leader of the army of the ancient Gods. Album art depicts the band playing inside of his mouth with Kartikeya manifesting as a sixth human form to shatter the Heaven's with metal. We are but instruments of fate, brief flashes in the cosmos, bursts of energy alight and then extinguished. May we all scream METAL as we fall.
Musically, SCRAPING BI exists somewhere between punk, hardcore, speed metal, industrial collapse, and urban hallucination. Their debut album, GULAG, established the band's reputation through twenty-four violent snapshots of decadence, hedonism, isolation, and spiritual emptiness. The record's bleak worldview, surreal imagery, and relentless energy quickly earned a cult following that spread far beyond Southeast Asia.
