Hi, I have been composing music since I was 19 years old, my first song The Otherside is actually on video. I started playing guitar when I was 14, way back in 1979 inspired by The Jam, Joy Division, Gang of Four and especially David Bowie. I switched to playing jazz when I was 20 being inspired by Django Rhienhardt and Pat Methaney. I worked with my close friend Rob Overdrive on our Nova Libertad project playing a few gigs in Sheffield from 2004 . I didn't really start recording properly until 2009, before I used cassettes to archive songs and music, these were digitalised and appear on this channel. I left the UK in 2016 to work in Kenya, Peru, Laos, Morocco, Togo and Azerbaijan. I am still travelling and continue composing under various names such as Mig 61, Nova Libertad and of course Michael J. McMillan. Thank you for supporting this channel. Love X
