Andrea Peña (born in Bogotá, Colombia; based between Paris and Montreal) is a choreographer, cultural thinker, and interdisciplinary artist whose bold universes expand new forms of storytelling.
She is the director of Andrea Peña & Artists (AP&A), a Montreal-based company established in 2014 that functions as a laboratory for choreographic and interdisciplinary creation. Through AP&A, Peña brings together artists from diverse creative backgrounds to develop large-scale performative systems that dissolve boundaries between dance, architecture, sculpture, and sound, creating living ecosystems.
Peña is the recipient of the CHANEL Next Prize (2026), the Ballet BC Choreographer Award (2024), and the New Choreographies Award at La Biennale di Venezia (2023). Her practice continues to shape contemporary discourse around the body as a site of political imagination and radical becoming.
