Founded in 2013, The Arena aspires to lead a movement of smart, conscious
and empowered young Africans focused on maximising themselves and the
communities they live in. We do this by creating events and digital platforms
to inspire young people to make empowered decisions for themselves and
the world they live in.
Our name, βThe Arenaβ, is derived from a 1910 speech by Theodore Roosevelt
that encourages a spirit of courage despite the risk of failure, rejection or
ridicule. We stand on these words as we pursue our vision.
We are committed to new perspectives on everything from politics to pop culture!
