We’re a small team with a stubborn affection for old songs. Our aim is simple: to recreate historic Irish ballads as faithfully as we find them, without agenda and without sanding down their rough edges for modern comfort. If a song is fierce, it stays fierce. If it is tender, it remains tender.
Reconstruction begins with careful reading of older texts, cross-checking sources, tracing traditional melodies where they survive, and shaping verses so they sit naturally within historic rhythms. Modern tools, including AI, help with research and formatting. But the heart of this channel is human: counting syllables, refining lines, recording retakes, and balancing authenticity with listenability. Most of it is still plain hard graft.
