Rustenburg Film Festival (RFF) is an annual film festival implimented by Rustenburg Film Festival (NPC), a registered Non-Profit Company in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008, Reg No. 2014/137852/08. The main objective of the organisation is to run the Rustenburg Film Festival and other film-related events close to it’s mandate.
Kea Malao, the main shareholder of RFF, has in the last 5 years provided filmmaking skills to more than a thousand filmmakers across the province in the form of film workshops ran under Bojanala Film Week. Most of these filmmakers are now independent filmmakers producing films for local channels such as Mzansi Magic.
RFF’s key objectives are;
- Develop & Promote filmmakers in North West through practical interventions
- Audience Development through evoking appetite for local movies
- Foster networks amongst key stakeholders in film
- Promote North West as a film destinations (film tourism).
