The Society for Conservation Biology is an international professional organization dedicated to the science and practice of conserving biodiversity. SCB hosts the International Congress for Conservation Biology, which is the largest global conference on the science of biodiversity conservation. In non-ICCB years, SCB's regions host conservation congresses. The Society's membership comprises a wide range of people interested in the conservation and study of biological diversity: resource managers, educators, government and private conservation workers, and students make up ~3,000 members world-wide. The Society has six regions, as well as a Global Marine Program and several topical working groups. SCB publishes Conservation Biology, the Society's flagship publication since 1987, and Conservation Science & Practice.
