Psychic Lemon rehearse and record in a studio in the back of a small garden, 5 minutes down the road from Syd Barrett’s old house.
The band got together at the end of 2013, everyone looking for a new musical challenge — to write and play the music they want to play, and not be held back by the expectations of others. However, if other people like it too, then that’s great: The band’s goal is to entertain without compromise.
No one likes to be pigeonholed, but the music can loosely be described as psychedelic or krautrock. The band’s influences are broad, but favourite bands include The Heads and Amon Düül II. Psychic Lemon's self-title debut album will be out on 4th March 2016.
On our live show:
“…twin effects-laden guitars and long instrumental sections recreate the atmosphere of heady 1960s experimental shows and they do it incredibly well.”
