She is the founder and vocal coach of Idol Academy, an entertainment and performance based music/dance program that specializes in J-Pop performance. Her roots in both the U.S. and Japanese cultures helped to shape her musical sensibility, reflected in her songs that span Japanese and American rock, pop and jazz. In addition to being a staple in the LA Asian Indie rock scene, Paprika Mari is also a music teacher who is passionate about sharing the joy of music to her students of all ages.
