This is music for working, studying, sleeping, reading, and any quiet hour you want to give yourself. Each track is built around the traditional Ottoman makam tradition: ney (reed flute), oud (lute), tanbur (long-necked lute), kanun (zither), and kudüm (small kettledrum pair). No vocals, no Western drums.
If you've ever wanted to disappear into an Ottoman miniature for an hour or two, that's what we're making here.
