The critically acclaimed classical guitarist Christian Fergo commits himself to preserving the tradition of the guitar's golden age. His artistry is defined by his passion for the aesthetics of Francisco Tarrega and Andres Segovia. His refined musicianship and detailed technique is especially poignant in his interpretations of the late romantic Spanish repertoire.
He has worked with some of the finest musicians of the 20th Century, such as Alicia de Larrocha and Claudio Abbado. He gives concerts throughout Europe and has performed amongst others with conductor Ariel Zuckermann, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, tenor Julian Pregardien and mezzo-soprano Rebecca Forsberg Svendsen. As a member of duo Morat-Fergo he has recorded several albums for Challenge Records International and a DVD for EuroArts.
Christian is a guest lecturer at different music academies such as Musikakademie Basel (CH), Hochschule für Musik Lucerne (CH) and Maynooth University, Ireland.
