About Rainier Aviation
Hi, I’m Mitch—the person behind Rainier Aviation. I’ve lived in this spot for six years, and every single day I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy a view that never gets old. The mountain, the planes, the changing skies—it feels like something worth sharing. That’s what inspired this channel.
The livestream runs from a PTZ camera mounted on a 10-foot rooftop mast, supported by guy wires for stability. It features night vision, and soon I’ll be adding auto-tracking and an ATC overlay. I also use a Sony DC-10 Mark IV for stills and high-quality close-up videos of takeoffs and landings. My goal is to strike a balance between the up-close action and those scenic, peaceful views of Sea-Tac and Mount Rainier that so many people enjoy.
I have a full-time job, but I check in daily and work on new content as often as I can. If you’ve sent a request I’ll get to it as soon as I can-and thank you.
Thanks for being here, and I hope you stick around for the journey.
