As integral members of the local dance music community; both Nine Lives and Kid Simbah and have been part of the (r)evolution of bass music in Alaska helping establish dubstep as a legitimate genre in the state.
Nine Lives originally entered the scene doing photography for Northern Light Collective and ADK Events for their first collaboration - Sacred Geometry. Soon after that he could be found pumping hard hitting tunes at maximum volume for the AK Dubstep parties alongside local favorites like DJ GRE, NYARL, The Shaman, and other heavy hitters. Nine Lives has opened stages for Electric Mantis, G Jones, DJ Hoodboi, and Big Wild to name a few.
Kid Simbah has opened for 12th Planet and played many of Alaska's best underground music events, he is also a well established graphical artist creating many flyers and designs supporting the Anchorage music scene including many of the Northern Light Collective, Late Night Munchies, and ADK Events graphics you see today.
