Matt Levesque is a Canadian drummer and percussionist living in the Greater Toronto Area. Tasteful and versatile, Matt has a very wide range of genres and musical taste and plays everything from Rock and Metal, to Blues, Jazz, Big-Band, World music, Funk, and everything in between. He is currently attending Humber College in Toronto, pursuing a Bachelors of Music degree (Class of 2029). He continues to expand his experience by working on new musical projects. In addition to performing, Matt is a dedicated and passionate music educator. He maintains a private drum teaching studio, working with students of all ages and skill levels, with a focus on strong fundamentals, musicality, stylistic versatility, and building confidence behind the instrument. Matt is also a drum instructor with Port Hope Jazz & SONG (Sounds of the Next Generation), where he teaches in a collaborative, band-based setting and mentors young musicians through rehearsal, performance, and ensemble playing.
