The Girls Camaraderie Project is an organization that is Building Camaraderie, instead of competition, among middle-school girls. Workshops led by female mentors from Broadway, TV, writers, therapists, and filmmakers take the girls through exercises inspiring connection, community, and acceptance. In one exercise, girls learn what life is like for other girls who live in third-world countries and are given the opportunity to connect with those girls through a collaboration with an organization called "People Weaver", creating and sending bracelets back to the girls who made the beads in Uganda.
