Waves Become Wings are a shoegaze and dreampop duo from Wales, UK — Michael Webb and Andrew Padfield, reunited after more than 20 years to make atmospheric, cinematic music together.
Influenced by Slowdive, The Cure, Cocteau Twins, New Order and Dead Can Dance, their sound blends walls of guitar, ethereal melodies and deeply textural production.
They first played together in the band Lamentia in the 1980s and 90s. Waves Become Wings is their reunion — and a new chapter.
