In the beautiful state of WV. Turning 4 raw slightly slanted wooded acres into a flourishing homestead. Currently a 14x40 storage bldg with a new addition of a bedroom, summer kitchen, screen porch and pantry turned into the cottage of our dreams. Empty nesters except the four legged dogs that call this home with us. Reggie, our head honcho a welch corgi and abbey and sofie both rscues. Newest addition would be Gman our merema lgd. A flock of sheep both wool and meat, dairy goats, meat goats, lots of chooks and ducks. A rain water catchement system provides water to the cottage and a composting toilet completes the bathroom needs. No well or septic and not sure that there ever will be. We are on grid but are constantly unplugging one thing at a time. Never to be fully off grid but not dependant on it. A woodstove heats our home for only 100 dollars a year for a load of lumber. Larry does work off the homestead providing us the means to continue to learn and grow.
