Open Mic Sydney run by Gabrielle Johnson exists to bring teen musicians and singer-songwriters out from their bedrooms and onto a live music venue stage. First Sunday of every month at the Coogee Diggers RSL, 2 Byron Street Coogee NSW 2034, Australia. Who runs open mic? Gabrielle Johnson is a music educator who started open mic in 2019. Her goal is to give young musicians and singers a chance to perform an original song or cover and to experience the energy of a live music environment. Why teens and tweens? Open mics build connections and experiences that can be life changing for a musician and if that can happen at a young age - we are all for it! Teens and tweens get to perform to a super supportive audience of family and friends and to have huge fun in the process!
