Our organization, An Indivisible Art Collective, began in the Summer of 2017, after coming together as socially conscious artists who are passionate about cultivating a diverse arts community in our beloved D.C. Founded by Laquavia Alston, Carolina Meurkens and Maria Miller, we are comprised of Artists, Poets, Storytellers, Musicians, Artisans, and Creative Souls. Our mission is to bring together creatives, socially engaged individuals, and businesses alike that value investing in arts education, community building, intercultural exchange, and neighborhood equity. We value individual creative growth, interpersonal artistic connections, and fostering an open dialogue for resistance through storytelling. Our events seek to bring together the community and raise voices of marginalized POC, women, and queer identifying artists.
