I started working at KIRO TV in 1980. I was a floor director, and eventually lighting director, gaffer, grip for the news and production studios. In the mid 80s, KIRO Video became Third Avenue Productions, and I spent those 10 years or so, doing lighting, special effects and clay animation for commercials and corporate videos. When Third Ave dissolved, I went back to news, again as a floor director, but also concentrating on lighting for shows, promos, commercials and specials. In 2012, new management came in and let me go after 32 years of devoted service, thank you very much. I ventured out into the freelance world, working on video production, webcasts, and live corporate events. This is an ongoing collection of behind the scenes and silly videos from a pretty dang fun career that I still enjoy.
