OMG! Improv started as a student group at Oakton Community college until they were given the go ahead to allow for comedians from all over Chicago to audition for the troupe. This has resulted in a bastion of talent in the northwest parts of the city and suburbs who are on a mission to have fun and continuously learn and hone their craft. Founded in 2012 and historically rooted in Second City short form Improv, OMG! Improv has worked hard to expand into other, more experimental forms of improvisation which has led them to touring, creating an online sitcom, performing an improv drinking show that incorporates musical comedy, attending comedy festivals and broadcasting "10-Minute Improv" weekly on Wednesdays at 7pm on Periscope (the first improv troupe in the nation to do so) and on YouTube.
