Tanner J. Perry is a Los Angeles based filmmaker. Born in Chicago, IL, Tanner began acting at the age of 8. By 14, Tanner discovered his love for working behind the camera, beginning a path as a writer. At age 18, Tanner wrote and directed his first short earning him "Best Technical" award at the La Jolla Film Festival in 2015. Less than two years later, Tanner brought his 4th short film, “Aftermath,” to The Short Film Corner at the 70th Festival de Cannes in France. He has since gone on to write, direct, produce, and edit over 20 short films, web series, pilots, as well as written multiple feature length films. Sighting Spike Lee, Jordan Peele, Donald Glover, Quentin Tarantino, and Hiro Murai as his main influences, Tanner specializes in creating surrealist realities, often melding genres, for strong characters studies, typically within the world of crime and/or grounded horror.
