YLizardY, pronounced Why Lizard Why, was started in 2019 as a purely alternative/punk cover band.
Since then there have been some member changes and the band now consists of Warren Leibbrandt on Guitar and Vocals, Barry Kilian on Lead Guitar, Jacques Low on Bass and last but definitely not least Wouter Botes on Drums.
Our shows are just that, shows, all about entertaining the crowd and getting people moving to our favourite bands from when we grew up. We cover bands such as Greenday, The Offspring, Audioslave, Billy Talent and a lot more of the bands from that era of music.
We are very excited to also announce that in 2025 we have branched out and wrote a full album of all original tracks, all influenced by the music that drove us to start this band and we cant wait to share more in the upcoming months! Our first single “I’ll Be Wrong” is out right now. Keep an eye on our social media pages for updates and new releases.
