I'm a Sri Lankan guitarist, vocalist, and composer with over 47 years of musical experience. I began at age 8 on Hawaiian guitar, later performing with my uncle’s band, Sweetones, and exploring Calypso and Spanish guitar with Paragon. As a teen, I joined Mendistars and became lead guitarist for Syac (1988–1991), working with legends like Clarence Wijewardena. In 1991, I joined Marians—a key turning point. My melodic guitar work has helped shape Marians' sound across seven albums and 60+ original tracks. “Laila” became a standout hit, resonating with fans locally and internationally. Outside the band, I offer private guitar lessons and am developing solo projects.
