Ramakrishna Mission Jammu is a non-political, non-sectarian spiritual organization which have been engaged in various forms of humanitarian and social activities . Inspired by the ideals of renunciation and service, the members of the Mission serve the people without any distinction of caste, religion and race. Because they see the living God in them. The Ashrama was started in 1964 and made a branch of the Mission in 2000. MOTTO: The motto of the organization is, "ATMANO MOKSHARTHAM JAGAD HITAYA CHA." It means, for one’s own salvation and for the welfare of the world. IDEALS: Work as worship, potential divinity of the soul, and harmony of the religions are three of the noteworthy ideals on which the organization is working. So we are running a Dispensarie, a Computer Institute, a Library, a Bookstall and many other social services as we accept that Service to man is service to God.
