THE LA BREA-WILLOUGHBY COALITION is an organization of concerned homeowners and residents of all social and economic strata who strongly oppose the La Brea Gateway Project.
The Martin Group and Bomel Company have developed the project, a building of seven stories—two commecial, four comprised of 221 residential units, and one above-ground parking area (along with one underground). The rezoning would eliminate yet another piece of fast-disappearing industrial property—with a devastating effect on the city's economy—and the proposed project is completly incompatible with this neighborhood of one- and two-story residences.
