Welcome to THE DEVELOPMENT PAPERS Channel. In this Channel you will find numerous narratives that explain the concepts and tactics for creating strategic space in the struggle against poverty and under-development. These papers are the result of 50 years of Consultancies to Governments, International Financial Institutions and local interest groups of small farmers and workers in the Caribbean and in East and West Africa.
The narratives have two foundations. The first is in the control of land and real estate and subsequently rights to food and water. These are the backbone of the political struggle of independence, and the creation of a culture rooted in the legitimacy of post-colonial identity. The second foundation is in the explicit class interest of workers and small farmers.
We share these with all students and even casual observers of economic development in an effort to make their academic skills more applicable in a changing world.
