Tutored by her mother Tapati Banerjee, she subsequently received "taalim" from Mr. Amal Mukhopadhyay, Late Bharati Kar Chowdhury(Disciple of Late Dr.Jamini Ganguly and Head of the Department ALL INDIA RADIO - AKASH BANI BHABAN(Kolkata & Siliguri)and training in Pure Classical Music from Pandit. Nihar Ranjan Banerjee of Bishnupur Gharana( Head of the Department of Classical Vocal Music - Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata) and Late Bidushi Smt. Purnima Chowdhury and Ustad Masqoor Ali Khan.
