Michelle Gao is recently in UBC Master program for Violin Performance at UBC School of Music. She also holds a Performance Diploma from Fountainbleau School of Music in Paris, and Chamber Performance Diploma from Steinhardt School of Music from the New York University. Both diplomas are obtained under full scholarships. Michelle has studied with many world-class performers: Pinchas Zukerman, James Ehnes, Gerad Poulet, Eugenia Choi, and Andrew Dawes. She has led numerous symphonies and orchestras including the UBC Symphony Orchestra, Opera Appassionata as well as the North Shore Opera Society Orchestra. Her many performances include solo appearances by invitation in a CBC production and the West Coast Symphony Orchestra. Michelle has also been performing for charitable organizations such as Oxfam and the BC Cancer Society. (October 2010)
